Liz Drury was born and brought up in Northamptonshire, and now lives in rural North Lincolnshire. She has a degree in Natural Sciences from the University of Durham, and a PhD in Archaeological Science from the University of Bradford.
During the research for her PhD, Liz analysed several samples of prehistoric ‘chewing gum’ and wrote about her findings in the popular magazine British Archaeology. This led to intense media interest in her work, and she was also invited to write for the scientific journal Nature as an Archaeology correspondent. The many radio and newspaper interviews she gave during this time sparked her interest in working in the media.
After graduating Liz worked in local television until she had a family, and she then worked in education for the next few years.
When her husband was asked to work in the USA for a couple of years, this gave Liz the opportunity to study acting at a local college, and train as a voiceover artist.
Since then she has worked across many voiceover genres including commercials, e-learning, corporate videos and audio tours for clients such as Bulgari, VW, JCB, Booking dot com, Hilton Garden Inn, World Animal Protection and the NHS.
